Over the centuries the month of November has been dedicated to the Poor Souls in Purgatory. No doubt the reason is that November is the last month of the liturgical year, even as Purgatory is the last stage of human existence before a soul reaches Heaven. In the back of the church is a Book to write down the names of your loved ones who have passed Please write down the names of those who you have lost.
You’ll find an envelope for All Souls in your box of envelopes. For every $10 collected in those envelopes, a Mass will be said for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, and in particular those names written in the book.
